Secure Healthcare is an Industrial & Provident Society for Community Benefit. As a Social Enterprise, SHC combines a vision of strong social purpose with entrepreneurial drive

Through the Social Enterprise model, staff, service users and other stakeholders become members of Secure Healthcare. This engenders a shared sense of ownership of the organisation and responsibility for the health and social well-being of those utilising the service.

We also actively develop the workforce by providing a specialist education and training programme linked to an annual appraisal and personal development plan as well as awarding an accredited certification course in prisoner and offender healthcare. Additionally, we employ prisoners and offenders as health trainers and outreach workers.
