Who are we?

Through many years of experience in the prison healthcare system, it has become clear to us that there are very specific challenges involved in delivering an effective and efficient service.

At Secure Healthcare we believe we have the expertise, drive and vision to make Secure Healthcare the blueprint for excellence in prisoner and offender healthcare.

Through creating a healthcare package tailored to these specialist establishments, we know that we can achieve not only an improvement in long term outcomes for the service users, but also greater efficiencies and economies for service providers.

Secure Healthcare is an original concept by Peter Mason who is an innovative social entrepreneur with recognised expertise in prison and offender healthcare.

Secure Healthcare’s strategic direction and governance are provided by a Board of Directors led by Julie Dent, formerly Chief Executive of South West London Strategic Health Authority. The Board is made up of Executive and non-Executive members including staff and service user representatives. Secure Healthcare is also supported by the Centre for Public Innovation.
